TEXT: ROMANS
8:1, ROMANS 7:15-17, 24
I told you last week that unbroken Christian are
believers who has given their life to Jesus but refuse to allow the word of God
to shape them into God standard. I also told you that the desire of God is for
us to be on earth worm Christian. A Christian that has no backbone, a Christian
whose backbone is Christ, one who doesn’t struggle with God in molding him to fulfill
his counsel. The character of unbroken Christian. I told that unbroken
Christian are selfish, they are stubborn, they are not easily corrected, they
hurt and cheat others easily, they love the praise of men than the praise of
God.
Today I am going to continue on the character of the
unbroken Christian. The unbroken Christian put their interest ahead of others.
They give so as to receive in-return. The unbroken Christian gives to those who
will give back to them. They want to be known for what they give or do. The
unbroken Christian love praise and honor of men than that of the Lord. The
unbroken Christian doubts everyone, except themselves. They are hard when you
have fallen out of their favor; nothing can ever bring you back to it. They put
evil motive into the heart of others. They always see evil in anything done by
another person. They are move by what they see, hear and feel.
The unbroken Christian hide hide all that is wrong
about them, they justify their fault and failure, and they are hurt and wounded
by honest Christian. They in cast upon their own right, undermining the cost
they hurt when other are well spoken of. They are hurt when others are
promoted. The unbroken Christian rejoices at the failure of others. They resist
being commanded but enjoy commanding others. They slander people in other to
get favor from them. In our text Paul found out that he is unbroken Christian,
how; he discover that there is a life style a Christian should live which he is
not living.
So in verse 24 he cried out Oh wretched man I am!
Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? He came to the foot of the
cross and had encounter; there, he was changed by our lord Jesus Christ; and he
became a broken Christian, Christian who Christ is their backbone. From that
day Paul can now say I no longer live but Christ live in me; why?
Because he had been made by God, are you made by
God? Etc. has the old way of life Leave you or you are still living by it.
