TOPIC: THE GREATEST NEED

                                         TEXT: JOHN 11:32-36
INTRODUCTION
There are many needs in the world today. Such as physical needs emotional needs and spiritual needs. And as such the world needed great men and women who are full of Holy Ghost and power.
Men who can understand and interpret the time in which they live. We need men and women who can share the mind of God with their fellows and motivate them into action to work with God. We need men and women whose faith has been sealed with the fire of Holy Ghost and power.
1.     QUALITIES OF MEN NEEDED.
1.     MEN WITH VISION
a.     The children of Issachar – 1 chron. 12:32 were men with great understanding.                        We need men full of the Holy Ghost and power like the children of Issachar. In 1 chronicle 12:32 – we are told that David surrounded himself with the children of Issachar – why? Because they were men who understood and correctly interpret the time in which they lived, and so guide Israel to wise appropriate action. The children of Issachar were men of vision and understanding who were able to read the sign of the time in which they live etc.
b.     MEN WHO CAN INTERPRET THE HAND WRITING ON WALL – DAN 5:24-29
In the 21st century church, we need men and women with an excellence spirit like Daniel; full of the Holy Ghost and Power who can interpret the handwriting of God in our local church and in the world.
c.      MEN WHO CAN HEAR FROM GOD – REV 3:22
THE BIBLE SAYS, he that has an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying to the church. This was the lord’s message to the seven churches. Hear me! People who “have ears” are the people who can stand in the counsel of the Almighty, there; they will learn the purpose and the plans of God. And share what they learn with their fellow Christian. Such leaders can say, this is what the spirit is saying. We need people who are in touch with God.
It takes only a few like that in each generation. One person, who has an ear to hear, can be the channel of God’s message and blessing to his people.
In early 1970’s we were told that the world was already evangelized, and all the missionaries existing in every country of the world were told to go home.
But someone who had an ear to hear what the spirit was saying to the churches changed that situation. Billy graham was able to read the mind of the spirit at tat time; he was able to hear the cry of heaven at that time. He called together Christian men and women from around the world and had several retreats as he share the vision, the mind of the lord to them, this move, brings great revival and soul winning in the then churches.
In our generation, we need men and women who have an ear to hear what the spirit is saying o their local church.
D.  MEN WHO ARE RESTORERS OF THE FALLEN LIKE NATHAN THE PROPHET Ezekiel 34:1 – 10
We need restorers of the fallen, men and women leaders who will not abandoned those who fall from grace, but will restore them to full fellowship and service with other Christian.
In Ezekiel 34, the franks with the shepherds who are very good at looking after themselves but are quite unconcerned about the welfare of the people in their care. But their concern is only to enjoy the milk of the flock, used the wool for their clothes and eats their meat.
But they fail to strengthen the weak, to heal the sick, to bandage the injure and even to search for the lost. Instead of this, they abandon the weak to die. Church, we need restorers Christians in this 21st century. People like Nathan.
      E. WE NEED DISCIPLER OF YOUNG LEADERS LIKE PAUL. Acts 20:4-5, 2 timothy2:2
We need leaders who can discipler younger ones and bring them into the stream of working with Jesus. The apostle Paul is an example of a servant leader who consistently disciple younger leaders. This is why his latter are full of reference to those whom he called his fellow servant, fellow worker or fellow soldiers.
Paul disciple young people like Gaius, soperter and timothy to mention a few. They were young men with great potential, which Paul spotted in the churches he planted. As they work with Paul they were catching the apostle’s spirit and absorbing his teaching and at the same time learning from the way which he tackled things. That is why Paul could write to timothy, you know everything about my teachings, faith, my patience, my love etc. but in these are dispensation, the different is the case etc.
F. WE NEED MEN OF RIVIVAL LIKE ELIJAH. 1KING 18:30 – 46
G. WE NEED MEN LIKE MEHACK, SHEDRACK AND ABEDNIGO. DANIEL 3:17 – 18
H. WE NEED MEN OF WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE OF GOD LIKE SOLOMON 1KING 3:16-28
2. MEN OF VALOR
A. like Gideon, who destroyed the alter of Baal and rebuild the alter of God. Judge 6:12 – 13
B. we need men like Jepthah. Judges 11:33 who deliver the nation of Israel from the hand of the ammonites.
c. men like David who can challenge the challenger of our faith. 1 Samuel 17:51
B.   BENEFIT OF HAVING SUCH MEN.
a.     God will be pleased in heaven.
b.     There will be peace and harmony here on earth.
c.      Gods work will be done as expected
d.     There will be expansion in the church.
C.   THE GREATEST CHALLENGE
The world is sick and needs a healer. Matthew 10:7-8. Ladies and gentle men, we live in a world where evil increase day after day. Where men and women choose the wrong path, more than the right. Where great men of God are fallen from righteousness into sin and pursue their self interest. And false prophets are increasing daily. We need men and women who can stand for God in a needful world like this.
CONCLUSION
I want us to know today that the world is in great need of men and women who can stand for God. Men and women like Ruth who can say no matter the situation, they cannot change their decision for God. Men who can interpret the handwriting of God on the wall in their local churches. Oh we need men full of the Holy Ghost and power. Can you stand for God in a needful world like this?
