Text : 1 cor 12:7-11
SPIRITUAL GIFT
There are two types of gift
1.
Natural gift: that is, you are gifted physical
to create or produce something – gifted to play football etc
2.
Spiritual gift: there are two types of spiritual
gift
a)
Evil spiritual gift: the bible says he came to
kill, steal and destroy
b)
The Holy Spirit gift is for the edification of
the body of Christ.
In 1 cor 12:7 – 11 the bible mention the nine different gift
of the spirit. These gift are given to
us by the holy lord himself, and they are:
1.
Word of wisdom: this word of wisdom is mention
only once in the bible in 1 cor 12:18. It is the right application of knowledge.
the gift of wisdom was given to believers so that:
a)
They may know what to do or say in a specific
situation. Jesus manifests these words of wisdom to the Pharisees, who wanted
to trap him. Peter also manifests it and when they saw the way he talked, they
knew he had been with Jesus. Act 4:13, he said when they saw the boldness of
peter and john and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they
marveled and they took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus. so word
of wisdom help us to know what to say in a specific situation.

b)
Word of knowledge: this is also mention once in
the bible in 1 cor 12: 8b. Word of knowledge reveal or give supernatural
revelation of facts, past, present, or futures which were not learned through
the efforts of the natural mind. (Acts 5:1-5) Ananias and sapphire, talk about sis.

c)
Faith – Is believed without doubt.
d)
Gift of healing – this has to do with removing
disease from the spirit, soul and body.
e)
Working of miracle – 1 cor 12:10

Prophesy – 1 cor 12:27 - 31 proclaiming the mind
of God.
g)
Discerning of spirits – 1 cor 12:10
h)
Diverse kind of tongues 1 cor 12:10
i)
Interpretation of tongue 1 cor 12:14, 1 cor 14:33
In all the spirit of God is the source of these gift. When
the Holy spirit is in you, through daily fasting, daily reading of the bible
and prayer, these gift will begin to manifest within you.

your enemies will turn their back and run away from you because you will be too
hot for them to handle.
