TOPIC: FROM THE OVEN OF PENTECOST

TEXT: ACT2:1-4, ACTS 3:1-8, ACTS 85-8

INTRODUCTION

The author of the book of acts is Dr.Luke, the writer of the book of Luke gospel, he wrote the two books to one person and that is theophilus. Acts 1:1 and Luke 11-3, the book of Act is the Genesis of the New Testament church. Just as the book of genesis is the beginning of all things in the Old Testament. The story of the book of Act opens us into the upper room prayer meeting, where there was an outpouring of the Holy Ghost upon the New Testament church. Where the New Testament church pass through the oven of Pentecost to become a powerful body on earth, to take the gospel to all nation.
When God descended on Mount Sinai at the given of the law that controls the Old Testament church, there was a thunder experience, lightening, thick cloud, trumpet blast and smoke experience. These marked the explosion of the Old Testament church. But when the New Testament church arrived, he came with wind, tongue of fire and speaking in tongue was experience. They were all one accord, suddenly there came the pneumatic power of the Holy Ghost upon them and they began to speak in tongue. Why did they spoke in tongue? They spoke in tongues, because the tongue was missional, that means we are all missionaries on earth. The spoke in tongues, because it’s express that the gospel is for all language and for all nations, it is for the poor, it is for the rich and for everyone, every tribe why do we speak in tongue? We speak in tongues because it reminds us that we need to take the gospel across our own tongue or language, in other word we need to share the gospel in our homes, neighbors, to other tongues and languages in Acts 2:3A the bible says there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, tongues of fire, some says the fire stands for purification other says, it stands for Judgement in Heb 12:29 the bible said our God is a consuming fire. So God needed us to burn, so he sent the cloven tongue of fire to burn out our iniquities, to burn out our flesh, to burn out our pride away, to burn out our hardness, to burn out our doubt. So that he can set us on fire for himself on fire to heal the sick, on fire to raise it and cast out all kinds of devil, from the oven of Pentecost in Act 3:1-9, we saw peter and John in Acts 2 passing through God oven, they were too raw, too empty to canal, so God had to pass them through the oven of Pentecost coming out of the oven, after they have been baked, they have pass through the fire and contact the fire, God had set them on fire, they met a lame man at the beautiful gate, the man needed money but they said gold and silver I have not such as I have give I thee, in the name of Jesus Christ rise up and walk and the man rose up and began to work, they become a carrier of power, they become a carrier of solution they become an agent of liberation. Because of the fire of the Holy Ghost they become centre of attraction for God etc. After these experiences you will become a center of attraction for God
·        You will become a liberator to limitation
·        You are a carrier of fire
·        Power is coming on you, today in the name of Jesus.
