Luke 22:443, Matthew 27:50-51
What type of prayer is prayed at Gethsemane prayer
at Gethsemane is persistence prayer. The prayer at Gethsemane was exceptional
in every way. It was exceptional because at Gethsemane we saw the load of the
world’s sin being led on our lord Jesus. The greatest
agony ever experienced
was upon Him. They heaviness of our sin and this great agony led our lord to
Gethsemane.
This
is one of the reasons we have found ourselves in Gethsemane 2016, the whole
load of pains, problems of life, humiliation, and our dreams years after year being
tempered. Has become great agony that lead us to Gethsemane 2016. As I have
said earlier, at Gethsemane we all left with persistence prayer, we are to pray
tirelessly until you have conviction by the Holy Spirit or see a signal of
positivity. Gethsemane was Satan’s hour, a moment to disgrace his power. If
there was no Gethsemane there wouldn’t have been crucifixion because at the
point of weakness our lord would have rejected the cup. Because there was
Gethsemane, there was power encounter by Angelic touch (Luke 22:43). He took
the cup and at the point of giving up the ghost, He cried out “IT IS FINISHED”
and the barrier that prevented man from having personal access to God presence
(curtain of the temple was torn into two from top to bottom Matthew 27:50-52) which
gave us right to come to his presence and pray without the blood of bull for
atonement. So begin to pray out those pains that life has brought your way
because it is finished.
To
be continued...
