What
is an altar?
An
altar is a place of connection; an altar is a place of spiritual sacrifice, a
place of contact with the spirit world. An altar can also be referred to as a
place of covenant; it is a place of invocation, an entry point of spirit into
families, homes, and business. Before an altar comes to be, blood has to be
shed. So an altar serves as a place of connection to the spirit world with the
physical world.
