- Matthew 6:21; matt 16:27, 1Timothy 6:7
Giving to God’s work produces eternal benefit. It
is an investment, with eternal reward, for both the giving, and the benefit
carried of the gift.
In Matthew 16:27 He said for the son of man is
going to come, in the father glory, with his angels, and then he will reward
each person according to what he has done.
My question this morning is, have you done enough
for God rewards? Because; he is coming with his reward. Hear me; everything we have
was given to us by God, and we brought noting into this world, and we will take
noting out of this world.
Jesus warned us in Luke 12:15 to be on guard
against all kind of greed. “Because a man’s life does not consist in the
abundances of his possession”
In Luke 19:7 when zachaeus became a believer, he
gave 50 percat of his asset, in donation of his salvation in Christ Jesus which
he found.
Today what can you donate toward the work of God? Because
there is eternal benefit for kingdom investors, so when you and I are faithful
in our giving to God, we benefit certain things.
Giving draws us closer to God.
In our texts Matthew 6:21 The Bible says, where
your treasure is, there your heart will be also. In other word, where we put
our money, that is where our heart is.
So if our money is in investment that is where our
heart will be. If our money is in our house that is where our heart is, if our
money is in our career then that is where your heart is.
But if our money is in the house of the Lord, then
that is where our heart is, in other word, money is like a magnet. Where ever
we put it, it also pulls your heart there;
My prayer to us this morning is that God should
help us to put our money into a place where we can have eternal benefits after
now, in the name of Jesus.
So when we giving our money to God, it’s like a
magnet, it pulls us close to God and his kingdom.
That means if my treasure or my finance is going
to God, then my heart is going close to Him to fellowship, communion.
So every time we giving, it draws us close to God,
giving is the nature and the character of God.
In John 3:16 He said for God so love the world
that he gave his one and only son. God gave his best, because he love us, so
when we give, we become more like God.
Giving also draw us close to God because giving is
an act of worship, wherever your money is, that is where your heart is.
So the first thing that we should remember about
giving is that it draws us close to God.
2. Giving strengthens our faith
The next thing the giving does is that it
strengthen our faith. Faith is like a muscle, the more you exercise it, the
stronger it becomes. So our giving proves the relit of our faith.
When we give to God’s work, it shows that we trust
God to meet our needs. The best time to give is when you don’t have enough. 1
King 17:12-14.
She said, as the Lord God Livet there not a cake
but a handful of meal in a barrel and a little oil.
She was left with her last meal, but she gave to
God through a man of God and God met every need she had, from that time on she
never lacked again.
I
pray for you, your giving today will break the yoke of level in your life in
the name of Jesus
What can you give to God that will command eternal
benefit to your life rise on your feet, and this prayer
Oh
Lord! I receive fresh grace to give a better seed for your work to silence my lack
in the name Jesus.
