Maximizing Gods glory in our family means
increasing God’s glory as much as possible in our family, these could be
possible through prayer, study the word of god. Etc
1. Cornelius
was a worshipper of God
2. He
was the first gentile convert
3. He
was a centurion of the band called the halian band.
By
centurion we mean He was a military officer who has 100 men in his regiment ( a large group of soldiers
that is commanded by a colonel)
4. He
was a devoted man and one that fear God with all his household
But
through his devotion to God, he saw a vision of an angel of God who told him to
send for peter in Jopa. And when Peter came into the household of Cornelius and
preach Christ Jesus to them, the Glory of god came down and fill the house
where they gather. And all the gentle believer began to speak in tongue; so
when the glory of God is in the house speaking in tongue pason
Through
Cornelius household God publicly open the door of the church to the gentiles
word. So Cornelius attracted Gods glory to his household through his prayer and
generous giving.
For
us to maximize God’s Glory in our family, we will consider four things;
1. God’s
Glory is possible no matter how spiritually low we have gone Haggai 2:7. The
nation of Israel was as spiritually low
as anyone can think of, at this time, because the mother Kingdom fell to
Assyrians afte4r a long history of idolatry. The southern kingdom of Judah fell
when Nebuchadnezza destroy Jerusalem and the temple and dragged the Jews into
captivity in Babylon. But after many years, God stirred up King Cyrus who
issued a decree permitting them to return to their country. (Jeremiah 29:10 –
14, Ezra 1:1-4) the people gave up their lives in Babylon and risked the dangerous
and difficult journey across the desert and were back in their land. But it was
not the same land as the old time, it was a land devastated by war but God had
promise his glory in this desolated ghost land (Jer. 33:10-11). So we can
experience the glory of God anew in our family. If we return back to God with
all our heart and allowing God to be the Lord of our family.
2. God’s
glory in the family focuses on the cross of Jesus Christ, John 2:4. The first
thing the leaders of the Hebrew did was to rebuild the alter Ezra 3:2 why did
they begin with alter? It is because the alter is the channel through which one
can communicate with god to obtain it forgiveness of sin and freedom from
attack. So they need to focus on the cross for God’s glory to be restored back
to them. So if we will focus on the cross of Jesus Christ in our family alter
then the glory of God will return back to us.
3. God’s
glory in the family focuses on obedience to his word. Haggai 2:6, John 2:5. The
glory of God in the family is possible when we begin at the cross and walk in
obedience to his word. David and Israel enjoyed God’s glory as they walked in
obedience to God. When Solomon obey God’s word by building god’s temple he saw
the glory of god during the dedication of the temple. 2 chron 7:1-3. As you oby
God’s word in your family, the glory of god will appear to you in the name of
Jesus. You will see his glory in your
business, marriage.
4. The
glory of God in the family focuses on building his house Haggai 2:8-9. In 1
corinthians 3:16-17, the Bible say know ye not that ye are the temple of god
and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you, if any man defile the temple of
God, God shall destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
The first building that God has is you because he dwell in you as temple. You
defile that temple when you sins and when you sin his glory depart so build it with prayer, build it reciting of
the word of God builded it by going out to bring other to the Lord’s family .
also support the church building with your substance, when this is done, God’s
glory will cover your family. God bless you

Lord! Every destroyer of God’s glory in my family catch fire

lord! Give us the grace to obey your word as a family

Lord! Let your glory come down upon our family alter again in the name of
Jesus.

will encounter the oil and anoiting that will carry you to the end of the year.
