BLESSINGS AND BENEFIT OF HIS GLORY (CUSTODIAN OF GOD ARK OF BLESSING)

Text:  - 2Samuel 6:10-12

The glory of God is the Holiness of God, made manifest but today, I want to reveal the totality and the fullness of the Glory of God. Now the Glory of God is the infinite beauty and greatness of God’s manifold perfection, and perfection in all things for us to understand our topic which is the Blessing And Benefit Of His Glory, (Custodian of God ark of Blessing), we must first understand what is the Ark of God and his purpose in the camp of the children of Israel. The Ark of God contains things that reflect God’s holiness and his faithfulness. Inside of Ark are two tablets of the Ten Commandments,

a pot containing manner and Aaron’s rod which had budded. The symbolism of the tablets is that, God is a holy God and requires obedience to his law. The manna was from the day when God miraculously sustained Israel in the wilderness and has a future implication of Jesus being the bread from heaven which is the bread of life in  John 6:31-41.

And the rod of Aaron’s that had budded speaks of God’s sovereignty in his chosen leaders and that his leader must come from God and not from man. The Ark also contain the Pentateuch the first fire books of the old testament written by Moses. In all this, the Ark represents the presence of God among his people Israel because God had pledge that he would dwell among his people.  In other to give them guidance from the mercy seat on the top of the Ark and blessed them.

This was the Ark that king David went to carry from the house of Abinadab but on the way Uzziah put forth his hand to the Ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen shook it and the anger of the lord was kindle against Uzziah and God smote him, for his error, he  died instantly. These create a great fear in the heart of David which made David to keep the Ark of God in the house of Obededoms. Within the period, the Ark stayed in that family, the Glory covered that family for increase , goodness for protection and draft and the family experienced God’s manifold blessing, and overflowing blessings of God which treated even the wealth of the king. The Ark that killed became an instrument of blessing to Obededom’s family because the Glory of God was in that family (that same Glory will cover your family).

Obededom’s family begins to experience the benefit of God’s Glory in their manifest. You will experience that same benefit today, any family without the presence of God’s Glory is really in a terrible trauma. Such family lack peace and joy, lack good, lack protection etc. That is why the Bible said, unless the lord builds a house the builder labour in vain (ps127:1). He will build your family again, the Ark of the lord is going to your house in the name of Jesus.

In Ex33:18 Moses said to God, show me your Glory, this should be the cry of your family here that the lord’s Glory should appear in their homes, family, marriages. The Bible said and we beheld his Glory, the Glory as of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truths. So the Glory of God is his goodness (Ex33:19-22) God’s Glory, is his presence for direction – Ex33:15. Moses believed in God’s Glory, which also represent God’s presence so he said if your presence will not go with us we will not leave here. So without the presence of God or his Glory in a family the family will lost his direction, focus etc. So God’s Glory is God’s goodness – ps33:5

S  And God’s Glory bring increase –ps105:24

PRAYER

1.     O lord, restore your Glory in our family again

2.     O lord, let your Glory bring increase to my labour

3.     O lord, in this year let your Glory direct me.
