CULTIVATING THE RIGHT HABIT FOR GREATNESS 2

TEXT: PSALM 11:3, ZACHARIAH 4:9, MATTHEW7:24 – 27

This week every champion of evil in your life will be disgraced in the mighty name of Jesus. You will not travel on a wrong path this week; you will not build on the wrong path this week. You will not build on the wrong foundation

this week in the precious name of Jesus. This week may God give you the Wisdom of Solomon and the favour of Joseph. You will go with the authority of Jesus this week. I see the fire of Elijah burning in your bones this week. Greatness does not occur by chance, it is planned and cultivated greatness is not luck but work. So cultivating the right habit for greatness speaks of building on the right foundation in the school of the architecture. We understand that it is the depth or the quality of the foundation that determine the height of the building.

In the same vein it is the quality of your foundation that will determine the height you will go in the world of greatness. So what you know tells of what you become. And until you build your life on the right foundation, greatness can never be achieved for foundation is a solid base with which a mansion is erected; so foundation is the root of any building; without which the building cannot stand. The way the root of a tree is important to the tree that is how the foundation is to the building. No tree can survive the storm or wind without the root.

In the same vein no building can survive the storm or wind without the foundation. So also no life can survive the storm or wind of life without a good foundation. It is the root that holds the future of the tree. So also the foundation holds the future of the building, so your foundation determines your future. No reasonable building engineer or contractor can do without foundation. Because he knows the success of the building is at the mercy of the foundation. So also the success of your life is at the mercy of your life foundation.

So what is the foundation of your life? What profession do you know? What handwork do you have to use to survive? What is your talent, what is your dream, what have you learn to do to help your life? For it is what you lay your hands to do today, that you will try to finish or accomplish in your life tomorrow.

So if your foundation is not properly laid, it can lead to a lifetime of struggle. Many people are struggling today and finding life difficult not because there is a devil but because of a wrong or weak foundation they have built upon. But the bible says if the foundation be destroyed what shall the righteous do? Which means foundation can be destroyed. Why? No one can destroy a right or proper foundation. Any foundation that must be destroyed shows that the foundation is not solid. So a destroyed foundation can lead to the destruction of destiny. It is the kind of foundation you lay today that you will build tomorrow. For the bible says the hands of zerobbabel that laid the foundation the same hand shall also finish it.

Every wrong foundation in your life shall give way for the right one in Jesus name. So to cultivate the right habit for greatness, your foundation must be solid. What else must I do to cultivate the right habit for greatness?

1.    BY YOUR WAY OF COMMUNICATION PROVERBS 18:20

He said your words have the power of life and death. So you are what you say. Watch what you say, for your word reflect your value, your word reflect your belief, your word tells who you are. You are not better than anybody else so don’t speak to condemn people, be polite to people. When you are tempted to be rude resist it and try to be polite in all your social interactions. A wise man once said listen well before you speak. So listen twice as much as you speak. For only a fool speaks without facts. If you don’t know what to say, say nothing. Thin twice but speak once. Keep secret confidential. If the people who spoke with you in confident wanted the whole world to know about it, they would have posted it on the internet. For self-confident is talking less and listening more.

2.    BY BUILDING RIGHT RELATION SHIP

God want us to be connected and keep health relationship that is why your success in life depends on the quality of people you surround yourself with. Because your circle of friends determine what you become in life. So search for quality people who can bring positive influence on you. More with people who are going in the same direction with you, people you share common interest and value with people who can contribute to your life positively.
