TEXT: ISAIAH 53:4-6, 2
COR 5:17-18
Once in a while, we get
something we need to exchange for something else, it could be an oversize per
of shoe, you bought and you need to go and exchange it for another. So when we
purchase something, an exchange takes place. We exchange money for some
commodity or items. We walk down
the street and exchange smiles with someone. So to exchange one thing in return for another. Our lives are marred by sins and need to be exchanged. Let me remind us that the Christian life is an exchanged life. That is we give up something we don’t want or need to gain something better in Christ Jesus. So God made divine exchange when Christ died on the cross; our sins were exchange for his righteousness, he was punished so that we might be saved that we might be forgiven. He was wounded so that we might by be healed, that is He bore our sins in His body in the tree that we being dead to sin should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes ye were healed 1 peter 2:24.

DYNAMIC PRAISE TEAM MINISTERING |
So Jesus Christ died
our death that we might share in His life. He took away the destroyer of our
life, the stealler of our destiny, the killer of our dream; He took them away
and gives us life eternal. John 10:10. He said he came to steal, kill and destroy
but I came that ye may have life and have it more abundantly.
Christ was made a
curse, so that we could be a blessing – gal 3:13-14. He took our shame that we
might share in his glory. Jesus accepts our rejection, that we might be accepted
by His Father. Matthew 27:45-47, Eph 1:3-4.
This is Divine
exchange, that what was due to happen to us was transformed to Christ. In other
words the innocent would bear the punishment of the guilty would receive all
the benefit due to the just. So through Christ Jesus, God made all the exchange
for our salvation at the cross.
MINISTERING |
·
He bore our
grief
·
He carried our
sorrow
·
He was wounded
for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities, He was punished, so
that we could have peace.
·
No wonder the
bible says in 2cor 5:17 if any man be in Christ Jesus, He is a new creature,
old things has passed away, behold all things have become new. This is the
Divine exchange that any man that is in Christ. Christ Jesus will take your old
life to himself and give you His new life in God. That is he substituted your
sinful life with His righteous life.
CHILD DEDICATION |
You become the
righteous and He is made sin in our place. That was why he cried on the cross
my father, my father why has thou forsaken me. This happened when the exchange
was made on the cross that God saw us righteous and saw his only begotten son a
sin. He walked out of him and accept us wile on the cross when Jesus saw us
with the Father, He said “it is finished” the exchange have been completed.
Have you been washed by
his blood? Have your sin been exchanged for the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Do you have Jesus in your life? If not pray this prayer with me:
1.
Father, I am a
sinner, have mercy on me and forgive all my sins in Jesus name.
