REASON WHY YOU MUST WIN A SOUL

Mark 16:15-20, Matthew 9:36-38 

The bible says Jesus had great passion for the lost souls, and it was the passion that propelled Him to an old rugged cross where He died for the lost to restore them back to God. That is why, if you are a Christian, if you are a child of God you must have the same passion for the lost soul. You must hear the commanding voice of Jesus saying unto you daily.

Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature, all creature, not some but all. So if you don’t win a soul, it is a sin just like lying, getting drunk, hatred, Motherer and adultery. It is a wicked and terrible sin for you not to win a soul, because any Christian who does not win a soul is sinning, i.e. he or she is disobeying the command of Jesus.

What are the reasons why you must win a soul?

One of the reasons why we must win a soul is:

1.  To avoid being held responsible for the blood of the lost  - Ezekiel 3:27-19

Ezekiel was told that he was the watch man for the house of Israel and he need to warn the unbelievers among them, of their evil ways. in order to save them from God judgment, God told Ezekiel that He will hold him accountable for those that he has not evangelized, and if they die in their sin, He will require their blood from his hand.

There are many of us today, who refuse to warn the unbelievers of the coming danger. If they refuse to accept the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible says if you fail to warn them, God will require the blood of the unsaved from your hand, but if you evangelized them, and tells them, about the saving grace. That is in our Lord Jesus Christ, if they accept him as their Lord and Savior; you are free from their blood.

So we are excepted to keep watch over our departmental member to keep watch over our family, to keep watch over our household even our colleagues at work, at school and our church members and all the unreached to reach them for Christ, because if we fail to tell them about Jesus and any of them miss heaven, you will answer for their blood.

2.  The second reason why we must win soul is because Jesus commanded it. Matt. 28:18-20

He said go and teach all nation, that means go and make disciples of men for me in all the nation by teaching them to observe all things that Jesus has commanded us, so to win a soul for the kingdom is a command from Jesus, it is not an option, but a command, we have no choice but to win a soul for our fathers kingdom. In John 14:15 He send if ye love me do my commandment and of this commandment is that we must win a soul. When last did you win a soul into the kingdom?

3.  The third reason, why we must win a soul is, because of the reality of the lake of fire. Rev. 20: 12-15. The lake of fire is very real and because of this truth, we must preach to our friends, family, neighbour and all that we can reach, so that they can escape the lake of fire and enter into the prepared place where Jesus had prepare for His children.

4.  The forth reason why we must win a soul is because of the value of the human soul. Mark 8:36-38

The human soul is very expensive, only the blood of Christ can purchase; the blood of a bull could not purchase it, neither the blood of goat. That was why God had to shed the blood of his only son to purchase the soul of humanity. The bible says what will you give as an exchange for your soul, if you lost it, so go out there and win a soul for the kingdom.

5.  The fifth reason why we must win a soul is because it is the wisest thing to do, Proverb 11:30 He said that he that wins a soul is wise. Can we have some wise men and women, boys and girls in our congregation? If there is then go win a soul, God bless you till we meet again next time.
